CEOE U.S. History/OK History/Government/Economics Test

The CEOE U.S. History/OK History/Government/Economics Test has multiple-choice questions worth 85 percent of the total score and a constructed response that is worth 15 percent of the total. The constructed response question gives a short set of instructions, usually a situation, the response to which requires application of knowledge from the history of the U.S. and Oklahoma.

To get ready for the test, prepare to demonstrate an understanding of important historical terms and ideas. Be able to apply research skills. Know Native American societies before, during, and after European settlement. Know the Revolutionary War and U.S. history, through westward expansion, the Civil War, Reconstruction, industrialization, World War II, and the time since (with focus on foreign policy and key events in Oklahoma).

Additionally, know foundations of political science, democratic government in the United States, economic concepts, the U.S. economy, and the international economy (emphasis on industrial and developing economies).
