The fundamentals of technology component addresses historical/social context, relationship with other disciplines, design process, ensuring safety, relationship between business and industry, and skills in the workplace.
The remaining components are all similar in the type of knowledge that one needs to know for the test. However, for each area, the specific knowledge remains distinct. For instance, transportation technology entails basic electricity, as a process, whereas casting is a process used in manufacturing.
