CEOE School Psychologist Test
The CEOE School Psychologist Test focuses on the assessment and care of individual and school needs in a constructed-response activity. Response to an essay question, which is graded on relevance, clarity, organization, support, demonstration of knowledge and proficiency, and grammatical precision, accounts for 15 percent of the grade total.
Eighty multiple-choice questions comprise the rest of the test. The questions assess the individual's knowledge of the following topics:
- Human development
- Human behavior
- Learning process
- Beneficial learning environments
- Curricula and instruction
- Implementing assessments, from selection to interpretation and recommendation
- Conducting and interpreting assessments of students with diverse strengths and needs
- Use assessments within a multidisciplinary team to develop interventions
- Prevention and intervention techniques and resources for individual/school needs
- Research methods
- Program evaluation
- Data-based decision making
- Working with others (family, teachers, etc.) contributing to student success
