CEOE Psychology/Sociology Test

The CEOE Psychology/Sociology Test has a free-response section. Worth 15 percent of the total, this section prompts for a response suggesting the implementation of knowledge regarding individual development, conflict, adjustment, and/or social psychology. This includes lifespan development, motivation, emotion, assessing individual differences, assessing personality, and treatment of psychological disorders.

The CEOE Psychology/Sociology Test also has a multiple-choice section (85 percent). These questions, in addition to covering knowledge included in the free-response section, address the following areas:

Topics taken from psychology, such as historical development of psychology, biological bases of behavior, sensation and perception, stress, states of consciousness, memory, learning, cognition
Topics taken from sociology, such as historical development of sociology, data collection, data analysis, concepts of culture and society, relationship between individual and society, social structure, social institutions, social inequality and its significance now, deviance and criminal behavior, demographic processes, and processes of social change
