CEOE Elementary Principal Specialty Test
The CEOE Elementary Principal Specialty Test tests knowledge in the following three areas:
- School vision and leadership - This area tests understanding of the development, implementation, problem solving, and promotion of diverse involvement in a school vision, as well as its relation to school context.
- Instructional leadership - For this section, be able to apply the concepts of human development and instructional leadership to education. Additionally, know how to promote professional growth to create a positive school structure.
- Organizational, operational, and resource management - This body of knowledge includes principles of organizational management, including budgeting, resource use, finance, and technology use. It also covers human resources planning and management, as well as management of physical plant and auxiliary services.
The CEOE Elementary Principal Specialty Test contains 50 multiple-choice questions, accounting for 70 percent of the total grade, and two essays - one on instructional leadership and the other on organizational management.
