CEOE Elementary Education Test
The CEOE Elementary Education Test consists of two subtests, and each requires a separate body of knowledge.
Subtest I
This subtest has 55 multiple-choice questions (85 percent) and one constructed-response question, which tests knowledge in reading.
- Reading - covers knowledge of the development and assessment of literacy, alphabetic principle, word building, fluency, reading, and literature
- Language arts - entails writing fundamentals and skills, research, and oral/visual language
Subtest II
This subtest has 55 multiple-choice questions only.
- Social studies - tests knowledge of process skills, basic government, civics, and economics, geography, history (Oklahoma, U.S., and world)
- Mathematics - requires conceptual knowledge of number sense, numeration, operations, algebra, geometry, measurement, statistics, probability, problem solving, and representation
- Sciences - covers the fundamentals of science's history and process, physical, earth/space, and life
Subtest II of the CEOE Elementary Education Test also requires basic knowledge in health and visual/performing arts.
