CEOE Driver/Safety Education Test
To prepare for the CEOE Driver/Safety Education Test, review the following topics:
- Operation of automobiles - applied physics, physical and psychological states (including young drivers), IPDE process/Smith system, and energy conservation
- Laws, rules, regulations - right of way, operator's licenses, vehicle ownership, traffic violations, signs, pavement markings, traffic signals, and insurance in Oklahoma
- Driver safety - rights and responsibilities, special situations (e.g., bicycles), collision avoidance, accidents, automobile safety devices, and first aid
- Driving procedures - preoperative, starting, parking, braking, driving control, following distance, basic driving, defensive driving, and driving in special conditions
- Teaching - drivers education, education programs in Oklahoma, instructional settings, teaching aids, and major automobile systems
The CEOE Driver/Safety Education Test has a multiple-choice section (85 percent) and a constructed-response section (15 percent) that requires application of information regarding driver safety.
